You know that saying “Trends may come and go, but style last forever”?

Well, I want to tell you that that’s not true. Everything will go. Sure the trends will change, but so to will your style. Your tits will go south, your boyfriends will go AWOL and your formerly perky ass will disappear into a pool of cellulite and stretch marks.

But do you know what will never go out of style? LEATHER GOODS (my mouth is salivating at just the thought). I cannot express the importance of shopping for high quality leather products, over their cheaper counterparts. A bag, shoe, or belt in a neutral coloured leather will last forever and never let you down.

I bought this belt from Belmore Bootmakers in Melbourne a few years back for next to nothing. It smells like the outback and, like any leather product, is improving with age.

The key thing to remember is not to be afraid to splurge where it counts and to look for classic shapes and styles. Also, look for hardware in muted tones, such as the silver buckle of my belt, as these are the easiest to integrate into your existing wardrobe.
